LED Moonlight ring in Garden Expo

Xiamen City China, one of the landmark buildings – the moonlight ring, was finished after more than seven months’ construction in year 2007.

The ring is surrounded by water, and means that the moon rising from the sea. It’s main structure is ring shape frame, composed of steel pipes and nodes.

The moon ring located in north of the Garden Expo platform, about 66 meters away from the platform. With built-in LED lights, lighting effect can be adjusted as requirement, and form the changes of the moon waxed and waned. When night fell, it shows the magnificent lighting scene together with the sea.

This project is a landscape engineering, structure are steel pipes, outer ring diameter is 36 meters, inner is 22 meters and thickness 22m. its design philosophy from the month wanes, mainly through internal adjustable LED lights to achieve this beautiful scene.
